The splash zone – the area immediately above and below the mean water level – has long been a major concern to both design and corrosion engineers of offshore installations. This vulnerable area faces corrosion from both the atmosphere and the sea. Because it is just above the waterline, it also can suffer from impact and abrasion and is one of the most challenging offshore inspection areas. Fairtex Group offer inspection services for facilities under the impact of the splash zone.
Fairtex Group provides inspection services for the non-intrusive splash zone condition of rigid risers, caissons, conductors and subsea structures, using our fleet of MEC (Magnetic Eddy Current) marinised scanners for efficient and satisfactory NDT services in the oil & gas industry.
Ability to inspect through higher wall thickness and various coating types.
High sensitivity and reliability in detecting internal and external defects including small and shallow pitting caused by bacterial corrosion (from Ø >3mm and 10% wall loss)
Analysis of defect severity in terms of volume and wall loss
Inspection of Coated risers, caissons and conductors
Fairtex Group provides inspection services for the external inspection of non-piggable subsea pipelines, subsea flowlines and manifold pipes, using MEC (Magnetic Eddy Current) techniques.
Condition assessment of subsea manifold and pipes
Subsea corrosion mapping and geometry measurement of subsea structures which have been reused and repaired
Concrete-Coated Subsea Pipeline Inspection
Non-Piggable Subsea Pipeline Inspection
Fairtex Group offers the best in class inspection and computational inspection services for flexible risers and umbilical, combining the state-of-the-art and proprietary inspection capabilities of MEC-FIT and the numerical simulation capabilities of FLEXAS.
Ability to inspect through flooded and non-flooded layers
Detection of single or multiple wire damage in up to 3 metallic layers
Wire misalignment and wire gaps
